Business Properties

Overview

Business Properties is where you configure the core settings for your AMS account. These settings affect how products are priced, how SKUs are generated, and where notifications are sent. This page is available to business admins only, under My Business > Business Properties.

Business Information

Configure your basic business details:

• Business Name — Your company or brand name
• Website — Your business website URL
• Email — Primary business email address
• Phone — Business phone number
• Address — Business mailing address
• Tax ID — Your business tax identification number

Pricing Defaults

Set your preferred Currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, or JPY) and default pricing rates that apply across all your products unless individually overridden:

• Markup Rate — The default multiplier applied to COGS to calculate suggested retail price
• Labor Rate — Your default hourly labor rate used in COGS calculations
• Wholesale Discount — Default wholesale discount percentage
• Commission Rate — Default consignment commission rate

Products can lock their markup rate to prevent changes here from cascading to them. See the Products documentation for details.

SKU Prefix

Set a prefix for auto-generated product SKUs. When set, new products will automatically receive a SKU like "PREFIX0001", "PREFIX0002", etc. Leave blank to require manual SKU entry.

Notification Settings

Configure where notification emails are sent:

• Email Notifications — Semicolon-separated email addresses that receive copies of order notifications, status updates, and support ticket alerts

These addresses receive notifications alongside the retailer's contact email so your team stays informed of all order activity.

Auto-Save

Changes to Business Properties are saved automatically as you make them. There is no separate save button — updates are persisted immediately.
