Goals

Set revenue and metric goals, track progress, and compare performance year-over-year.

Overview

The Goals feature helps you set annual revenue and metric targets, track progress month by month, and compare performance across years. Business admins can create goals in Goal Setting and view progress on the Goals Dashboard.

Goal Setting

Navigate to My Business > Goal Setting to create and manage your goals.

Create Goal

Click Add Goal and fill in:

  • Name (required) — A descriptive name for the goal
  • Category — Revenue or Metric
  • Goal Type — The specific area (e.g., Wholesale Revenue, Consignment Revenue, Event Revenue, Retail Revenue, etc.)
  • Year — Which year this goal applies to
  • Annual Target — The total target amount for the year

Each goal type can only be used once per year. The modal stays open after creation so you can quickly add multiple goals, and it remembers your last selected category.

Goal Types

Revenue goals track dollar amounts from specific sales channels. AMS can automatically calculate estimates for these based on your actual transaction data. Available revenue types:

  • Wholesale
  • Consignment
  • Events
  • Etsy
  • Website
  • Jewelry Party
  • Instagram Live

Metric goals track non-dollar quantities. Available metric types:

  • Instagram Followers
  • Facebook Followers
  • Email Subscribers
  • Events
  • Podcast (Host)
  • Podcast (Guest)
  • Collaborations
  • Collab Lives
  • Collab Giveaways
  • Collab Parties
  • Wholesale Accounts
  • Consignment Accounts

Goals Dashboard

Navigate to My Business > Goals Dashboard to view progress across all your goals. Use the year selector to switch between years and the tab switcher to view Revenue Goals or Metric Goals.

Goal Cards

Each goal is displayed as a card showing:

  • Goal name and progress percentage
  • A color-coded progress bar: red (<40%), yellow (40–70%), teal (70–100%), green (100%+)
  • Year-to-date actual vs. annual target
  • Pace indicator showing if you're on track

Click a card to expand it and see the full monthly breakdown with a data table and trend chart.

Reordering Goals

Drag and drop goal cards to reorder them within each category tab. Your preferred order is saved automatically and persists across sessions.

Monthly Entries

Click Edit on any goal card to open the monthly entries modal. Here you can set both the Target and Actual values for each month of the year. Use the Distribute Evenly button to split your annual target equally across all 12 months.

AMS Estimates

For revenue goals (wholesale, consignment, events), AMS calculates estimated actual values based on your real transaction data. These estimates appear alongside your manual entries and can be applied with one click. This saves time and ensures your goal tracking reflects actual business performance.

Bulk Entry

The bulk entry modal provides a quick way to fill in all months at once. For revenue goals, AMS estimates are shown for each month with Apply buttons to use the estimated value. This is especially useful at the end of a period when reconciling your actual performance.

Year-Over-Year Comparison

In the expanded goal detail view, toggle on the prior year comparison to see a dual-series chart overlaying the current year and previous year data. This helps you visualize growth trends and seasonal patterns.

Each goal card shows key statistics:

  • YTD Actual — Total achieved so far this year
  • YTD Target — Where you should be at this point in the year
  • Progress % — Actual vs. annual target
  • Months On Track — How many months met their target
  • Pace Needed — What you need to average per remaining month to hit the annual target

The expanded view includes a trend chart (sparkline on the card, full chart in the detail panel) showing your monthly performance trajectory.

Copy to Next Year

Use the copy-to-next-year feature to duplicate your current year's goal structure into the following year. This creates the same goals with the same targets, ready for you to adjust. It saves time when your goal categories stay consistent year to year.
