SOPs

Write down how you do things, add links and files, and attach the guide to the tasks that need it.

Overview

An SOP is a step-by-step guide for how you do something, like "How we pack an order" or "Setting up the booth". Write it once, attach it to tasks, and anyone doing the task can open it.

  • Find them on the Tasks page: click Set up tasks, then the SOPs tab.
  • Only business admins can add, change or delete SOPs.
  • Everyone on your team can read the SOPs attached to their tasks.

Add an SOP

  1. On the SOPs tab, click + Add SOP.
  2. Give it an SOP Name (required).
  3. Add a Category if you like, such as "Fulfillment". You can filter the list by it later.
  4. Write the steps in Details.
  5. Click Add SOP.

Add a link or file

References are things your team can open from the SOP, like your brand style guide or a packing photo.

  1. In the SOP form, click + Add Reference.
  2. Pick a Type: URL for a web link, or Document for a file.
  3. Give it a Reference Name, then paste the link or click Choose file. Files can be a PDF, Word, Excel or image, up to 25MB.
  4. Save the reference, then save the SOP.
  1. On the Tasks page, click Set up tasks, then the Tasks tab.
  2. Click + Add Task, or edit a task you already have.
  3. In Linked SOPs, search for the SOP and pick it. You can attach more than one.
  4. Save the task.

Open an SOP from your tasks

On the Tasks page, a task with SOPs attached shows an SOPs button.

  • Click it to read the steps and open any links or files.
  • If a task has several SOPs, you'll see a list first. Use ← Back to all SOPs to go back to it.
  • PDFs and images open in a new tab. Word and Excel files download.

Edit or delete

  • Click an SOP's name, or use the row menu > Edit, to change it.
  • Row menu > Delete removes the SOP, its links and its files. It's also taken off any tasks it was attached to. The tasks themselves stay.
