AMS 1.7

Automatic wholesale volume discounts, accurate Shopify sales imports (tax, amounts paid, and cart discounts), clearer billing emails, and friendlier error pages.

July 9 – July 22, 2026

AMS 1.7 brings a full wholesale volume-discount system — set “spend more, save more” tiers and free-shipping levels, and buyers earn them automatically at checkout. Imported Shopify sales now record the tax you collected, the amount the customer actually paid, and any whole-cart discount, so your revenue is accurate. Billing gets friendlier too, with a heads-up before your price changes and more reliable payment emails.

New Features

Wholesale Volume Discounts

  • A new Volume Discounts card on your Retail Portal page lets you add “spend $500, get 5% off” style tiers, plus one free-shipping level. Your biggest tiers show first.
  • Wholesale buyers earn these automatically at checkout — no code to enter, and the discount is calculated on our side so it can't be tampered with. Consignment orders are never discounted.
  • While shopping, buyers see the discount and a shipping note right in their cart, checkout, and order confirmation, plus a live tracker on the catalog showing how close they are to the next tier (for example, “You're $400.00 away from 10% off”).

Discounts on Your Orders

  • An order's totals now read like a clean invoice — retail value, wholesale discount, and volume discount adding up to the total.
  • Orders that earned a volume discount show it as its own line, and orders that qualified for free shipping get a Free shipping badge.

Shopify Tax & Payment Details

  • Imported Shopify sales now record the sales tax you collected and the amount the customer actually paid, alongside the revenue you already saw. Tax is kept separate from revenue and profit, so your totals don't change.
  • Open a sale and you'll see tax collected, total paid, and any discount right at the top — no need to scan the line items. Tax-inclusive (VAT-style) sales are clearly labeled.
  • A one-time cleanup tool can re-check older imported orders against Shopify and correct sales whose whole-cart discount wasn't recorded, so past revenue reflects what customers really paid.

Billing Heads-Up Email

  • You now get a plain-language email a few days before your first-year rate ends and your monthly price goes up — no more surprise charge.

Friendly Error & Not-Found Pages

  • If something breaks or you land on a link that no longer exists, you now see a calm, on-brand page with a clear next step and a Try again button — never a blank screen or raw technical text.
  • A dashboard error keeps your menu and header so you can carry on; a customer-facing portal error keeps the simple portal look.

Sales Tax From Your Events

  • The “remind me to file” switch now lives once on an event's Sales tax defaults, so every log for that event stays in step. Turning it on or off updates the reminders you already have.
  • Setting up tax tracking on a log now fills in the event's rates, filing method, and due date automatically.
  • Marking a log Filed clears its reminder and records the filing in your task-completion history.

Improvements

  • Sales tax is now split into opt-in State and Local levels, each with its own rate, chosen from a single “Which taxes apply?” dropdown. Your event defaults and each sales log stay consistent.
  • The Sales tax card puts Taxable sales alongside the money figures that drive your filing, and the defaults card folds away when you don't need it.
  • The “Paid” tax status was removed — there's now one clear done state, Filed (shown in green). Older “Paid” records now read as “Filed.”
  • Removing a volume discount now asks with a clean in-app “Remove this discount?” dialog instead of the browser's grey pop-up.
  • Your subscription card now shows a plain-language billing status (like “Payment needed” or “Paused”) instead of a technical code, and a payment problem sends you straight to Manage Billing rather than a button that would error.
  • The new-order email you receive now shows the discounted total, the volume discount, and whether the order earned free shipping.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Sales summary cards showing a false $0 when they couldn't load — they now show a clear “Couldn't load your totals” message with a Try again button, and reassure you the sales list below is fine.
  • Fixed a whole-cart discount (like “10% off everything”) being dropped when Shopify orders imported — both by hand and from an uploaded order export — which had made revenue read higher than you actually earned. The import preview now shows the discount before you import.
  • Fixed the weekly outreach digest email, which had silently never been sending.
  • Fixed the “payment failed” email so it always goes out (and never twice), giving you a reliable chance to fix your card before losing access.
  • Closed a gap where the first-year half-price rate could be restarted by canceling and re-subscribing. It's now a one-time 12-month benefit that resumes where you left off if you come back.
  • Fixed a billing gap where accounts in an unusual payment state could keep access indefinitely, and where starting checkout with an active plan could create a second, double-billing subscription.
