Track and manage potential retail, podcast, and collaboration leads through conversion.
Leads represent potential business relationships that haven't been converted yet. Whether it's a store that might carry your products, a podcast you want to appear on, or a collaboration opportunity, leads help you track the prospect through your outreach process until they're ready to become an active relationship.
Navigate to Marketing > Leads and click Create Lead. Fill in the basic information:
For collaboration-type leads, you can also set the Collab Type and Followers count. Additional detail fields (rent, commission rates, collaboration dates) are available later during the conversion process.
A lead can have multiple types. For example, a business might be both a wholesale and consignment prospect. The lead type determines which conversion options are available:
The leads table shows Name, Status (Cold/Warm badge), Lead Type, Contact, Email, Phone, Instagram, Last Outreach date, and Pending indicator. Filter by Status or Lead Type. Export to CSV.
Click Edit from the row action menu to view and update all lead information. The detail form shows the same fields as creation plus any additional metadata collected over time.
When a lead is ready to become an active business relationship, select Convert from the row action menu. The conversion modal lets you choose what to convert the lead into based on their type(s).
For consignment or wholesale leads, conversion creates a new Retailer record. During conversion you can fill in additional details like rent, rent due date, and commission rate that weren't needed during the lead tracking phase.
For podcast and collaboration leads, conversion creates the corresponding Podcast or Collab record. During conversion you can set additional fields like start date, end date, starting followers, and discount code.
After conversion, the lead is marked as converted and the new record is created in the appropriate section.
Select Outreach from the row action menu to log a contact attempt. The outreach modal lets you record the type of outreach, notes, and follow-up date. Outreach history is tracked and visible in the leads table (Last Outreach column) and in the lead details.
Click Bulk Upload to import multiple leads at once from a CSV file. Download the template to get started — it includes all 16 lead fields with instructions. Only Name is required; all other fields are optional. Lead Type accepts multiple values separated by commas (e.g., "Consignment, Wholesale"). AMS checks your data for errors before importing and flags similar values in City and State to prevent duplicates. See the Bulk Upload guide under Getting Started for full details.
Leads that are no longer being pursued can be set to inactive via the row action menu. Inactive leads are hidden from the default view but preserved for historical reference.
