Home

Your starting point after you sign in: your setup list, shortcuts to your work, stock reminders and what's new.

Overview

Home (your dashboard) is the first page you see after you sign in. It's a quick jumping-off point, not a report. You'll find:

  • A Get set up list while your business is new
  • A reminder if any products still need their stock set
  • Quick Links to the places you use most
  • What's new from the AMS blog and YouTube

Looking for your numbers? Sales totals live on the Sales Dashboard, and goal progress on the Goals page.

Get set up

New to AMS? The Get set up list shows the first things to do, in order. Each step has a button that takes you to the right page.

  1. Tell us about your pricing. AMS starts you at $60 an hour, a 3.5× markup and 50% off for wholesale. Click Set my pricing to change them, or Keep these if they suit you.
  2. Add a component: a supply your pieces are made from.
  3. Add a product: a piece you sell.
  4. Record a sale.
  5. Set a goal for the year.
  6. Connect your shop (optional): bring in your Shopify sales.
  • A step gets a check mark once it's done. AMS notices on its own.
  • The list goes away when every step is done (the shop is optional), or once you've been recording sales for a month.
  • Click Hide this list to put it away for good. It stays hidden for everyone in your business.
  • Only business admins see the list.

Take a quick tour

Want a look around first? Click Take a quick tour at the top of Home. It's six short pictures:

  1. The Get set up list
  2. The menu on the left
  3. Adding your supplies (components)
  4. Adding what you sell (products)
  5. Recording a sale
  6. Where to find help
  • Click Next and Back to move through it, or use the arrow keys.
  • Click Skip tour or press Escape to stop any time.
  • Once you finish, the button leaves Home. AMS remembers this for you, even on another phone or computer.
  • To take it again, open Help at the top, click Guided Tours, then Start next to Getting started.
  • You'll also see the button on an empty Components, Products or Sales Dashboard page.
  • Every tour is listed on the Guided Tours help page, with a Start button for each.

Stock reminder

You may see a note like "3 variants have uninitialized stock". That means AMS doesn't know how many of those products you have on hand yet.

  • The number is how many active products (or product options) you track stock for still need a starting count.
  • Until you set it, AMS won't send stock for them to Shopify.
  • Click Set stock now → to fix them in Stock Management.
  • Click the ✕ to hide the note for 7 days.

Only people who can see Inventory get this note. It goes away once every count is set.

Each card opens one part of AMS. You see the cards for what you can use:

  • Components and Products — if you can see Inventory
  • Retailers — if you can see Retail
  • Events — if you can see Events
  • Leads and Podcasts & Collabs — if you can see Marketing
  • Tasks — everyone
  • Goals and AI Assistant — business admins only. If no assistant is set up yet, the card says Connect your AI assistant.

On the Maker plan, Retailers, Leads and Podcasts & Collabs show a Retail plan tag. Clicking one shows what the Retail plan adds. See the Retail Plan page under Account.

What's new

The What's new panel shows our latest blog posts and videos, newest first.

  • Click a post to open it in a new tab.
  • See all takes you to the full Journal or our YouTube channel.
  • On a computer, it sits on the right. Click the arrow at the bottom of the panel (Hide what's new) to tuck it away. It pops back open when there's a new post.
  • On a phone, it's a card below Quick Links with the two newest posts. A New tag means there's one you haven't seen.
