Overview

AMS is a subscription. Billing is available to business admins only — team member accounts never see it. Open it from the user menu in the top-right corner by clicking your name. Before you subscribe you will see Subscribe there; afterwards it becomes Manage Billing, alongside Change plan.

Free Trial

New accounts start with a free trial, and the trial gives you the whole of AMS — every area, nothing held back. The subscribe page shows how many days you have left. If you subscribe before the trial ends, your remaining days are kept: you won't be charged until the trial is over.

Pricing

There are two plans, and you can pay monthly or yearly:

Maker — $15/month, or $150 a year ($12.50/month)
Retail — $39/month, or $390 a year ($32.50/month)

Paying yearly costs the same as ten months, so two months are free. Either way the price is for your whole business — there are no per-person charges, and everyone on your team is included.

Which Plan Is Right for You

Maker is for selling what you make: products, parts and stock, the pricing calculator, sales, events and craft shows, expenses, tasks, goals, your Shopify connection, and Claude.

Retail is everything in Maker, plus the parts of AMS that involve other people:

Stores you sell to — retailers, wholesale and consignment orders, and your ordering portal
Finding new business — leads, podcasts, collaborations, and outreach
Team members — giving staff their own sign-in

If you're not sure, start with Maker. You can move up whenever you like, and nothing you've entered is lost either way.

Subscribing

When your trial ends, or whenever you're ready, click Subscribe in the user menu. Pick monthly or yearly, choose your plan, and click Continue. You'll go to a secure checkout page to enter your payment details, and come straight back to your dashboard with everything active.

Changing Your Plan

Click Change plan in the user menu, or go to My Business > Business Properties and click Change plan on the Subscription card. Either one opens the same window. You'll see every plan and what each one costs, with the yearly saving shown next to the yearly options.

Moving to a bigger plan happens right away. We charge the difference for the rest of your current period, and the new features are there as soon as you go back to your dashboard.
Moving to a smaller plan waits. You keep what you already paid for until the end of your period, then the new plan starts. The Subscription card shows the date.

Before you move to a smaller plan, we'll tell you what changes — team members who will lose access, open orders that will be hidden, and whether your ordering portal stops taking orders. Nothing is deleted, and it all comes back if you move up again.

Founding Plan

If you joined AMS before these plans existed, you're on the Founding plan. You keep the price you signed up at, and you keep everything Retail includes — there's nothing you need to do. Your exact price and next billing date are on the Subscription card in My Business > Business Properties.

If you started on a discounted rate, it runs for as long as it was meant to and then your normal price takes over. We email you before that happens, so it's never a surprise.

You're welcome to move to one of the new plans, but the founding price can't be brought back afterwards, so it's worth being sure. We'll say so before you confirm.

Manage Billing

Once you're subscribed, clicking Manage Billing in the user menu opens the secure billing portal, where you can:

See your current plan and billing date
Update your payment method
Look back at past invoices
Cancel

You can also get to billing from My Business > Business Properties, which shows your current status and a Manage Billing button.

Subscription Status

Your subscription is always in one of these states:

Free Trial — your trial is running, with everything unlocked
Active — paid and up to date
Past Due — a payment didn't go through. Update your card in the billing portal to put things right
Canceled — your subscription has ended. You can come back any time
