Retail Plan
What the lock icons and Retail plan tags mean, and how to unlock those parts of AMS.
Overview
AMS has two plans. Maker covers making and selling your work. Retail adds the tools for selling to shops and working with a team.
- During your free trial, everything is unlocked.
- After that, a lock means that part comes with the Retail plan.
- Nothing is deleted when a part is locked. Switch plans and it's all still there.

What's locked on Maker
- Retailers, Orders and Retail Portal (your ordering page for shops)
- Leads, Podcasts, Collabs and Outreach
- Team Members
- In Set up tasks, the Roles and Reports tabs. Your tasks still work without them.
- Wholesale and consignment sales to a retailer. Event and online sales are part of Maker.
Sales, the Sales Dashboard, Events, Inventory, Tasks and Goals are all part of Maker.
Lock icons and tags
- In the sidebar, Retail-plan pages don't show. You'll see one More with Retail link instead.
- On Home (your dashboard), locked areas show a Retail plan tag. In Help, Retail-plan pages always carry the tag, whichever plan you're on.
- Inside a page, a locked tab or option shows a short note and a See what the Retail plan adds button.
- Search leaves out retailers, orders, leads, podcasts and collabs while they're locked.
Clicking More with Retail or any locked item takes you to the upgrade page.
The upgrade page
The page Sell to shops with the Retail plan lists what you'd get and the monthly price.
- On a trial, click Pick your plan to choose a plan.
- On a paid plan, click Change your plan. It opens Business Properties, where you can switch.
- Only business admins see these buttons. Others see "Ask the business owner to switch to the Retail plan."
- Already on Retail? The page just says You have everything.
If you're on someone's team
Team members are part of the Retail plan. If the business moves to Maker, team members see Your account is paused when they sign in.
- Nothing of theirs is lost.
- Once the owner switches back to Retail, they're back in right away.
- The business owner is never locked out.
